MitonOptimal has appointed two new members to the Board of the holdings company MitonOptimal Holdings (Pty) Limited (MOH):
- George Dell, Executive Director – Discretionary Fund Management
- Jolandi Slabbert, Executive Director – Business Management
This takes the Board from four members (three Non-Executive Directors and one Executive Director) to six.
The MOH Board will now consist of the following members:

Roeloff Horne, Executive Director – Head of SA Portfolio Management, said: “I have worked with both George and Jolandi for a number of years and have the utmost faith in their dedication to the company and in their abilities. In their new roles they will ensure strong business oversight as well as guide and propel our strategic direction.”
George joined the business in 2013 as Head of Business Development – with the focus on growing the awareness of MitonOptimal’s Discretionary Fund Management services within the SA market, attracting new clients to their various product offerings whilst retaining and servicing existing clients.
In his new role George’s focus will remain the same, but he will take responsibility for these aspects of the business at Board level as well as work closely with Jolandi Slabbert on the strategic direction of the business as well as on the external aspects of Business Management.
George joined the financial services industry in 1984 and has held various senior client facing roles at some of SA’s most respected financial companies. George is Chair of the Discretionary Investment Management Executive Committee and a Director of the Financial Intermediaries Association of South Africa.
Jolandi became part of MitonOptimal through the merger with Bond Street Financial Services, which she joined in 2011. As Head of Operations, Jolandi’s focus was on overseeing the operational obligations of the business including Compliance and HR. In her new role she will continue to focus on these functions whilst dedicating keen attention to integrating Fintech into the business as a whole in order to create efficiencies for the internal team as well as for the business’s adviser partners.
Jolandi joined the finance industry in 2007 and has held various roles in HR, Operations and Compliance.
Roeloff Horne will remain a Non-Executive Director of MitonOptimal International Limited whilst his day-to-day responsibilities will continue as Head of SA Portfolio Management, where the lion’s share of his time and attention is dedicated to running his remit of CIS and model portfolios and managing the investment team. The day-to-day management of the business will be overseen by George and Jolandi, with the support of the wider Management Team and Team Leaders.
